We understand the process and decisions involved in making funeral and cemetery arrangements while coping with the loss of a family member can be stressful and confusing.
Our experienced and professional team is always at hand to assist you and take away some of the stress. We encourage you to visit our location and meet with our staff for any preplanning that you may desire.
As part of our commitment to exceeding your expectations, you will have a team of two persons, a Licensed Funeral Director and a Family Service Professional, dedicated to serving your family. The Funeral Director will be in charge of the arrangement conference and the Service Professional will be your primary contact for anything you may need during and after the services are completed.
Our team will guide you through every little detail and ensure that your every need is met in the most professional, caring and personal manner.
Our Valued Staff
Eddie Martinez, Area General Manager
Eddie Martinez born and raised in Houston Texas. Eddie had 3 children Alicia, Isaiah, and Reagan. Married to Maria his high school sweetheart for over 25 years. Eddie loves the ocean, fishing, and BBQ-ing for his family and friends. When able, Eddie loves to travel with his family.
Eddie started his career at the Guillen Funeral Home, located in Houston. He assisted with family visitations and removals after school. He also assisted the funeral home in keeping the cemetery clean by mowing the lawn. After attending school at Commonwealth Institute in Houston, Eddie started to work at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home while attending school.
After eight years Eddie and his family moved to San Antonio to work at Porter Loring Mortuary. After 10 years at the mortuary, Eddie and his family decided it was time to come back home to Houston. He started working as a Location Manager with SCI and is now the area general manager for South Park Funeral Home at NorthStar Memorial Group.
John Childers, Area Sales Manager
John Childers started in the funeral services profession in 1995. He is a veteran and enjoys spending time with wife and family traveling, cooking and spending time fishing. He has been an instrumental part in helping South Park Funeral Home serve the many families in the Pearland community.
His top priority is leading and guiding the talented team of Family Service Advisors, in compassionately helping families through one of the most difficult times in their lives. John and the resilient team at South Park believe in our company culture, the four behaviors it represents are P.A.C.T: PASSION, ACCOUNTABILITY, COURAGE AND TRANSPARENCY, all while continuing their promise to go above and beyond the families they serve.
Susie Zuniga, Sales Manager
Susie Zuniga joined San Jacinto Memorial Park and Funeral Home October 2008. Susie has been in the funeral industry since May 1995. She started as a Community Service Counselor and shortly after was promoted to Community Service Manager, Prospecting Manager, Sales Manager for three of the largest cemeteries in Houston and for the last 8 years Sales Manager here at San Jacinto Memorial Park & Funeral Home. Susie was asked what she likes about her career and she said, “Helping families is the biggest reward. It is a true feeling guiding families in one of the worst days of their lives. Many years ago I was asked if I wanted to do something different and my answer is always and will be no, I just love what I do.” In her off time she loves to spend time with her beautiful children and grandchildren and helping her big family and enjoying being a leader at Church.
Patricia Hardin, Assistant General Manager
Patricia Hardin who is known as Trish is the Assistant General Manager and joined the San Jacinto Family over 15 years ago as a part-time assistant until she was hired full time as an administrative clerk in the Interment/ Records Department after working part-time for 3 months. After 10 years Patricia took time off, so that she could take care of a sick family member, then returned back to the Houston Market a year later. Since then has earned several awards throughout her career for being a strong and dedicated employee.
Trish and her husband, Tony have been married for 18 years and have 3 children, Clayton, Kyndel and Colby and the newest addition to the family is their first grandbaby, Falon.
Trish and her husband enjoy spending time in East Texas on the families estate relaxing in the country scenery, fishing, traveling, taking cruises, motorcycle riding on their Harley Davidson and spending time with their grandbaby.
Bernardino Torres, Superintendent
Bernardino Torres is Superintendent at San Jacinto Memorial Park & Funeral Home. He has proudly served in the funeral business since 1981. His dedication and compassion to helping families in need is evident. “I am willing to go above and beyond to help anyone who has suffered a loss.”
Angie Ojeda, Family Service Counselor
Angie Ojeda has been a Family Service Counselor for San Jacinto Memorial Park and Funeral Home for 14 years. Angie takes great pride in being able to serve families. Either by assisting them with their pre-arrangement’s or at one of their most difficult times of losing a loved one. Angie treats each family that she has the pleasure of helping like if they were her own family member.
Angie has been married for over 36 years, has two children and two grandchildren.
During her time off, she likes to travel, watch movies, shopping and spoiling her grandchildren.
Yaritiza Garza, Family Service Counselor
Yaritza (Yari) Garza has recently started her career working at San Jacinto. After the recent loss of 2 family members she decided to start a career helping families during their most difficult time of need. She takes pride in being able to serve families. During her time off, Yari enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Samatha L Cantu, Clerical & Administration Specialist
Samantha Cantu joined San Jacinto Funeral Home & Memorial Park 6 months ago and is a Clerical & Administrative Specialist. In her off time, Samantha coaches Boxing and enjoys spending time with her family.
Matthew Pinero, Clerical & Administration Specialist
Matthew-Ryan Pinero is a funeral assistant at San Jacinto Memorial Park & Funeral Home. He is currently pursuing a higher education and hoping to go to med school, thanks to the job opportunity presented to him at San Jacinto.
Amelia Cerda, Clerical & Administrative Specialist
Joined our South Park family 3 months ago. She is a mother of a 4yr old boy that keeps her on her toes, She loves to BBQ on the weekends with her family and her 5 dogs
Joe Schnettler, Staff Associate
Joseph Schnettler spent 10 years in the United States Navy from 1999-2009 and was stationed in Japan, Hawaii, Washington State and deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq (twice). While in Afghanistan, Joseph was injured by an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) where he received the Purple Heart Medal for his injuries. After Joseph left the Navy in 2009, he attended the Houston Community College and transferred to the University of Houston. He received his B.S. in Teaching and Learning with 4th-8th Grade Math from the University of Houston. Joseph will continue his education to become a licensed funeral director.
Rosa G Guardiola, Housekeeper
Rosa G. Guardiola AKA Mireya is one of San Jacinto’s Housekeepers. Originally from Mexico, Mireya has called Houston home for the past two decades. She received her Primary Teaching degree from the Centro de Estudios Universitarios in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Mireya enjoys working on projects around the home and spending time with her two grandchildren.
Jose Rocha, Cemetery Caretaker
Jose Rocha is one of the cemetery grounds keepers and has been with San Jacinto Memorial Park and Funeral Home since 1990. Originally from Guanajuato Mexico and now resides in Houston, Texas since 1978. When asked what attracted Jose to this field, he said, “the satisfaction in keeping the park looking beautiful.” In his spare time, he enjoys spending quality time with his family.
