There are so many memories I could share of my grandma, because she was always there, she always cared. She always loved, she always nurished. The memories I cherish the most was my Christmases at Grandma's house, with all the love and family and cheer that came along with it. I wrote my grandma a poem of Christmas at Grandma's I'd like to share, it summarizes my fond memories.
A Christmas Gram
Memories of a half-circle driveway, white chalk rock like a pathway of snow.
Blue lights illuminate, setting the night aglow.
Cars scatter the yard, gifts from the trunk to the den.
A friendly knock, the door is opened, and happiness lives within.
Red shag carpet welcomes, a comfort only we knew.
Smiling faces all around of a family from which we grew.
A familiar scene as we enter, colors of every shade.
Each room a collection of charm meticulously on display.
Christmas at Grandma's, moments we will always remember.
Set at Winter's Solstice on the 3rd week of December.
The game room lit up and prepared for the occasion.
A fireplace of dancing flames to entertain our imagination.
The jukebox plays Silver Bells, tuning our holiday cheer.
We all came together for this special time of year.
Gifts circle the tree in all shapes and sizes, wrapped in her signature blue.
