Ted Michael Lenz, age 71, of Mont Belvieu, Texas, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to family and country.
Born on January 16, 1954, in Houston, Texas, Ted was the beloved son of Mildred and Clarence Lenz. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1973 to 1979, achieving the rank of Lance Corporal. His dedication to service was matched by his commitment to his craft—Ted worked as a crane operator and rigger for 45 years, earning the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
On July 3, 2007, Ted married the love of his life, Nina Lenz, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and deep connection. Ted found joy in the simple pleasures: fishing, golfing, cheering on his favorite sports teams, reading, and spending cherished time with family and friends.
Ted is survived by his devoted wife, Nina Lenz of Mont Belvieu; his sons Tim and Valerie Lenz, Cody and Angela Lenz, JR Cunningham, Jon and Sofie Cunningham, Cody and Lacey Cunningham, and Austin and Madison Stone; and his nieces Sarah Vespasian and Annie Clay. He was a proud grandfather to eleven grandchildren: Cooper, Lily, Willa, Elle, Nomi, Bennett, Jett, Paige, Blayne, Vanessa, and Carter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mildred Lenz; his sister, Nancy Clay; and his son, Joey Lenz.
Ted will be remembered for his unwavering strength, his generous heart, and the warmth he brought to every room. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he created. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
