My Daddy...... There are way to many things to say about this wonderful man. He was for sure the hardest working man anyone will ever meet. He was the best Daddy ever, he always provided for us, made sure we had what we needed, especially Mama. He treated her like a Queen, he lived for her, his every breathe was for her. My Daddy taught me so many things in life that I will never forget. Because of him all his girls know Jesus. He was a good Christian man. That smile, that laugh.... The best PaPa any kid could ask for, he was always so concerned about the grandkids, always telling me make sure to take care of the baby. I will miss his hugs, his kisses..... Everything about him.... I know he is with my Mama dancing, watching the birds, watching over us and all the grandchildren, I know this to be true in my heart. I will miss him more than any words could ever express. Not enough words to describe this wonderful man there are way to many things to say...

I have known Sherrel since I was 5 years old because that is when he started dating my sister and not very long after they were married. As a child I remember he had a commanding presence but as I grew up I saw what a gentle, kind, and loving man he was. Especially to Elsie and his girls. He was just like a son to my mother and loved her like his own. He was a hard working man always providing for his family. He was quite the character at times and when he laughed everyone laughed with him. I loved watching him and Elsie dance. They just kind of took over the floor with their beautiful waltzes. He would have hung the moon for her. That's the kind of man Sherrel was. I am so thankful he was part of our family. He was a great big brother in law to me and I will truly miss seeing him. For now anyway, we will see him again along with Elsie and all our loved ones.
Sherrel and I worked together for a brief period, but it became clear immediately he would not cut corners on his work. Sherrel took pride in his work and he impressed the clients he served with his detail for perfection. By the way his career at work required perfection and he gave his heart and soul to assure his projects were signed off with his personal stamp of "PERFECTION". My last visit with Sherrel occurred at a casino and his expression of happiness displayed a tone of relaxation and freedom from the daily rhythm's that control our lives. I don't believe Sherrel ever lost because his signature smile always expressed a happiness that losers never display.
My prayers go out to the family members who he dearly loved,

Sherrel was a great person and will be deeply missed. He was very dedicated and had outstanding work ethics - I always hoped that he would come out of retirement and work just one more job. When he "laughed", you could always tell that he was near by & it would make you smile. My prayers and thoughts are with his family.
Rest In Peace Sherrel.
