Rosa Linda Rodriguez's Obituary
Rosa Linda Rodriguez, 54, of College Station, Texas passed away March 17, 2021 in College Station, Texas. She was born November 12, 1966 to Fedrico Romero Rivas and Rosa Linda Rhodes in Houston, Texas. She married the love of her life, Joe B. Rodriguez on October 3, 1998 in Houston, Texas.
She moved from Houston, Texas to College Station, Texas in 1994. She began working at Texas A & M University shortly after moving there. She worked at Texas A&M University in the Division of Marketing & Communications until the time of her passing. She enjoyed working with vendors to approve university logo designs, often traveling for different conferences and business engagements. She took pride in ensuring that copyright and trademark rules were followed correctly. She loved her career and work family dearly.
She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. Family had a special place in her heart. She would literally do anything for her family. She was the first born of her siblings. She was the designated planner and coordinator of all family events. She traveled between College Station and Houston often to visit and loved spending time with all of the family. She could be found at her mother’s home in Houston, caring for her and running errands with her when she was in town. She loved being a mother to Priscilla and a bonus mom to Michael. They were her pride and joy and she loved bragging about all of their accomplishments. Her love for them was evident as she truly lit up when talking about them. Before becoming a grandmother, she spent time being the best Tia to all of her nieces and nephews. She looked forward to seeing them, giving them lots of hugs and kisses, and of course spoiling each of them equally. Tia Rosie always gave the best gifts! Her grandchildren brought out a different side of her. She was all about the grandma life. Her grandchildren gave her so much happiness. She adored them and loved visiting them when she could. She was not your typical grandma; more like a glam-ma! She loved clothes, jewelry, makeup and shoes! She did not walk out of her house without looking her best! She was always ready for a selfie. She will be deeply missed by all that love her.
She is survived by her husband, Joe B.
