In 1974 we moved to Galena Park my father (who already knew the family) introduced us to "La Familia Hernandez". We immediately made friends with the family who made us all feel very welcome. My siblings and I all made a connection with their children. The household was always so upbeat and you could always hear Mrs.Hernandez in the midst of it all. Fun times!! During her later years, my mom and I would either go visit her or she and her caregiver would come to visit my parents then my mom when daddy passed away. My mom looked forward to their visits whether they were just talking on the phone or personally visiting with each other. Mrs. Hernandez would just make my mom's day and mine. My jaw and cheeks would hurt from laughing to Mrs. Hernandez comments and conversations. She was a high spirited lady. We will miss her dearly but more so will my mom. When she found out of her friends passing she told me "My friend is gone" and she cried. I know Mrs. Hernandez is now stirring things up in her new home and happy to be with her family and friends. I can see it as it was when we first met "La Familia Hernandez", with my father in the midst of it all. Those were some wonderful, fun and very memorable days! Mrs. Hernandez lived life to her fullest her heart was just full of joy and life.
Stay strong and cherish all the wonderful memories she has left behind for your family and the rest of us who were fortunate to have met her and been a part of your family. May God give you strength in the days to come, but know that she is extremely happy, and a little sad, to be where she is now. We Love you and will always be here for you.
