Maria De Jesus Preciado's Obituary
Maria De Jesus Preciado, known by her loved ones as Ama , 92, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025. She was born on January 1, 1933, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, to Vicente Garcia and Francisca Suarez.
Maria was lovingly married to Jesus Preciado for 52 years until his passing. Their union was filled with devotion, laughter, and the joy of raising 17 children together. A dedicated homemaker, Maria was known for her exceptional cooking—her tamales, tacos, and pozole brought warmth and comfort to every family gathering. She also found joy in nurturing her garden, tending to her plants and flowers with care and pride.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Maria was a devoted and faithful member of the Jehovah’s Witness Congregation at Kingdom Hall, where she found spiritual strength and community.
She is survived by her daughters: Angelita Bostleman, Juanita Rodriguez, Linda Gonzalez, Maria Galaviz, Rosy Hernandez, Celia Garcia, and Griselda Gonzalez; her sons: Roberto Preciado, Ernesto Preciado, Antonio Preciado, and Rey Preciado; her sister, Eva Preciado; and her brother, Demetrio Garcia. Maria also leaves behind a cherished legacy through her many grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesus Preciado; her sons, Noe Preciado and Ricardo Preciado; and her parents, Francisca Suarez and Vicente Garcia.
Maria "Ama" will be remembered for her unwavering love, her nurturing spirit, and the deep roots of family and faith she planted in every life she touched.
