Ms. Laura Faye Hobbs' Obituary
Laura Faye Hobbs, 85, was born on February 18, 1930 to the late Amos and Ola Mahaffey in Mittie, Louisiana and passed away on July 29, 2015 in Pasadena, Texas.
Laura was the world’s greatest cook and was known for her soup or chicken and dumplings. When you came over to visit, she made sure that you had something to eat. She had a generous and loving heart and loved people.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 ½ years, Elsmer Hobbs and her parents: Amos and Ola Mahaffey. She is survived by her loving children, grand-children, great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Chapel at San Jacinto Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Chapel at San Jacinto Funeral Home. Laura will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband at San Jacinto Memorial Park immediately following the service.
Laura will be missed by all but will remain in the loving hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her.
