Lana K. Immel's Obituary
Lana K. Immel, aged 74, of Kingwood, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her
family on June 3, 2024. Born on November 9, 1949, in Levelland, Texas, to James Vergil
and Nella Ruth Solley, Lana’s life was one of devotion and joy.
Lana dedicated many years of service as a records clerk for Galena Park ISD before her
well-deserved retirement. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life; she was a devout
Christian and attended services at Woodridge Baptist Church, whenever possible.
Her passions were many and varied. Lana had an eye for the unique and the historical,
finding delight in antiquing and collecting various treasures, from antiques to charming
figurines. Her love for collectibles was matched only by her joy in decorating her home
for the holidays, a tradition she cherished deeply. HomeGoods was her haven, especially
during the festive seasons.
Family was the heart of Lana’s world. She cherished every moment spent with them,
and her grandchildren, Jack and Kate Brown and, Sam, Ava, and Jake Hansen, held an
especially dear place in her heart. Lana’s love for animals was profound, with cats being
her favored companions.
Lana leaves behind a legacy of love and faith. She is survived by her devoted husband,
Michael H. Immel; her children, Brandi Brown (Rodney), Michael S. Immel, and Lana
Hansen (Eric); and her adored grandchildren.
Preceding her in passing were her parents, James Vergil and Nella Ruth Solley, and her
siblings, Jim Solley, Ann Mack, and Terry Solley.
Lana’s memory will be treasured and kept alive in the stories shared, the antiques she
collected, and the love she spread. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all who have shown support during
this time.
Rest in peace, dear Lana. Your spirit continues to shine brightly in the lives you’ve touched.
