Julius 'Joe' Bennett Edwards' Obituary
Julius (Joe) Edwards passed at home due to an ongoing battle with lung cancer, COPD, Asbestos, and prostate cancer. He fought a long and hard and did his best to overcome his final battle.
My dad recently celebrated his 49th year in the Pipe Fitters Union "Local 211". He spent 33 years of his career working at NASA which he was very proud of and so were we! HE raised us to be hard workers and showed us by example, working until his body just couldn't keep up with his mindset. He graduated from North Shore Senior High class of 1974 and just recently attended his 50th reunion.
He married the love of his life Judith Gail Hendon on 10/29/1983 and together raised a daughter and 3 sons. He laid his bride to rest July 13, 2004 and has been waiting for the day to meet her again ever since! His kids have been the most important aspects of his life and he tried his best to make sure we knew it. With his final Facebook post just moments before he passed, he made sure to express his love for his kids and grandkids one final time. "Thaaaat's Right".
Julius is survived by his twin sister Judy and brother Kenneth. His 4 kids, Damien, Jonathan, Priscilla, and Skylar. Grandkids, Ayden, Lily, Dexter, Nevaeh, Delaney, and Willow. Daughters-in-law Melissa and Victoria. Including many nices and nephews. Each one of these individuals have played a very special role in the last years of his life caring for him, bringing him joy, and being there for when he needed a helping hand. Julius (Joe) Edwards was preceded in death by his father Willie Edwards, his mother Mabel Edwards, and his oldest brother Dennis Edwards.
