Mr. Johnnie A. Butcher's Obituary
Johnnie A. Butcher, 81, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 in a local hospital. Mr. Butcher retired from the United States Army after 25 years of service. Following retirement from the Army, he worked with Lubrication Systems from which he subsequently retired after 29 years of service. He was born in Trawick, TX on March 14, 1930 to Thomas Van and Margaret Ann Butcher and was the last survivor of their 10 children. He was also preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Mary E. Butcher Kennemer and son-in-law, G. Keith Kennemer. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 64 years, Mary L. Butcher and their daughters, Jan Butcher Lynne and her husband Mark A. Hougham; and Carol Butcher Partridge and her husband D. Raymond Partridge; grandchildren: Deanna, Johnny, Shannon, Amanda, Joseph, Carolette, Kimberly, Matthew , Maryann, Dwight, Joel, Michael, Brian and Joshua; 25 great-grandchildren--and another on the way; and 1 great-great-grandchild--and another on the way. He is loved very much and will be greatly missed. A celebration of Johnnie's life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of San Jacinto Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Cole officiating. Private interment will be at a later date.
