Debra Sue Rangel's Obituary
Debra Sue Bachelor-Rangel, 67, of Humble, passed away at 2:52pm, Sunday, April 5, 2020 at North East Memorial Hermann Hospital in Humble, TX.
She was born September 22, 1952 in Rantoul, Illinois on the Chanute Air Force Base to James and Frances Bachelor who are both in Heaven. She grew up in Galena Park and Jacinto City and attended public schools there. She graduated from Galena Park High School as a Jackateer on the school’s drill team.
Debra was employed with Crown refinery for many years where she met numerous friends that she has kept throughout the years! She then went on to work with children in the Mother’s Day Out program at Atascocita United Methodist Church and soon after that moved on to Lakeland Elementary where she became a Teachers Aid for Pre-K students. After that she was offered a position working in administration for the Humble School district as the Executive Secretary to the Assistant Superintendents. She retired in 2013 after almost 20 years with the district.
Debra’s hobbies were cooking and shopping. You could taste the love in her dishes. She had a blast doing both, especially the shopping! No matter if she was buying for herself or someone else, she was always picking up little things here and there. She had the kindest heart, the brightest soul, a smile you could never forget and a laugh you will always be able to hear! She enjoyed most of all being with her daughter Tiffany, friends and family.
Debra accepted Christ at an early age and had Faith in God always. That never wavered. In fact her faith grew as years went by.
She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter Tiffany- 34; sister, Gail Tubbs- 65; niece, Heather Braun Henson- 42 and husband Steve Henson- 48; great nephew, Cameron Braun- 17; great niece, Caitlin Braun- 21; great-great niece,- Adalynn Whisenant- 6 months. She also leaves behind her former spouse- George Rangel & her best friends and Angels on earth- Jerry and Jenny Gerald; plus a slew of Aunts, cousins & dearly loved friends.
