How do you sum up a lifetime of memories in a simple note? The answer is you cant. Granny you and Papaw filled ALL your grandchildren's lives with amazing memories. I loved the camping trips singing the marching song, unhooking the septic line because I wanted to help. The Saturday morning biscuits and gravy and rabbit pancakes. The "poot gun". Calling you granny grunt. Friday hairdresser appointments. Most of all the beach house and me fishing off the deck into the weeds for a snake. You always told me to keep trying and I would get one, The bucking chair that flipped over and oh how I loved vanilla milk in the metal cups. How much I loved seeing my own children build memories with you. You and papaw cheering Lacey on at her softball games, you coloring with Caitlyn and making my kids the same rabbit pancakes you made me. I loved watching you put your " face on". These and thousands more are all memories that will live within my heart just like you will always live within my heart. There were moments in my life that you and papaw were my solid rock and calm place. I thank you so much for all those times, I just needed an ear. You and I could tell each other things we could say nowhere else. I only hope I can be the same kind of grandmother that gives her grandkids the love and memories you gave us. I knew when we last talked just how much you missed papaw and my mom and Paula. I am sad for us but I know you are where you wanted to be . I love you granny grunt.
