Yoko Charlin Armei Smith's Obituary
Yoko Charlin Armei Smith 74, of Houston, Texas was surrounded by family when the Lord took her home June 29, 20022 in Houston, Texas. She was born November 3, 1947, to Sheng-Wang Lin and A-yu Lin in
Taipei, Taiwan. She would later move to the United States where she raised two boys in Oklahoma.
She was married to Don Smith who precedes her in death.
She attended the Japanese Mission of Baptist Temple Church in Oklahoma where she had several years of sweet fellowship and will be missed by her brothers and sisters. The Lord brought her to Houston where she attended Cloverleaf Baptist Church and had also become a part of the local body where her presence will be greatly missed.
She enjoyed many things a few of those were spending time with her family and friends, listening to and singing praise songs by Keith and Kristyn Getty, Sovereign Grace and Cityalight. She also enjoyed cooking, shopping, playing Mahjong, cracking jokes and beating her grandchildren at chess.
She is survived by her oldest son David Baxter and his wife Tessa of Yukon, Oklahoma.
Her youngest son Johnny Baxter and his wife Lydia of Houston, Texas.
Her brother Chia-Shing Lin of Taipei, Taiwan. Six grandchildren: Kyle, Nikki, Joshua, Lauren, Jeremiah and Josiah and two great grandchildren Elliot and Noah.
