Winnie Louise Dillard's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Winnie Louise Dillard, who left us on January 20, 2025, at the age of 81. A beloved Mother, Grannie, and friend to many, Winnie touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love.
Mrs. Dillard was born Winnie Louise Stillwell on November 26, 1943, in Columbus, Georgia. She met her future-husband of 45 years, Richard Dale Dillard who was stationed in the U.S Army at Fort Benning, Georgia. They were married on April 5, 1960. The new family of two then moved to Harlington, Texas- Mr.Dillard’s hometown, where they were blessed with two children Richard Lee (Ricky) and Jerry Lynn.
Winnie's life, in its entirety, was a testament to the power of love and resilience. Her impact on the lives of those surrounding her and the love she shared with her family and friends will forever be cherished. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her Husband Richard Dale Dillard and her son Jerry Lynn Dillard.
Surviving her is her son, Richard Dillard and his wife Deneice Dillard. Her Grandchildren and their spouses Amanda Phillips (Robert Phillips), Dwaine Dillard (Perla Dillard), Kayla Caylor (Troy Caylor), Brian Dillard (April Dillard), Shelby Griffith (Preston Griffith), Matthew Dillard (Brooke Dillard).
As well as her 13 beloved great grandchildren and many cherished extended family members and friends and all who held her dear.
As we remember Winnie, we celebrate a life well-lived, a love well-shared, and a legacy that will continue to inspire for generations to come. Winnie Louise Dillard, a loving mother, a dedicated Grannie, a loyal friend, and a gracious soul, will forever live in our hearts, a beacon of love and light that will guide us through the years to come.
