Don't think of him as gone away his journey's just begun,
life holds so many facets this earth is only one. Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away. And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much. Ellen Brenneman
Happy Birthday Daddy! It seems like yesterday that you left us. We all miss you more than words can describe! We will always love you! So, celebrate your 74th birthday in style with Jesus and the angels and all of our family and friends that have gone on before us. What a celebration that would be! I love you!
My daddy was the GREATEST man to walk the face of this earth! He was always there for everyone! He was not supposed to leave us during his surgery! He was supposed to come home and go walking with me! I went to the chaple during his first surgery and begged God to keep him on this earth with us! I told God that I needed him! But, God needed him more and took him. He went the way that he wanted! He can now breath, walk and run! Something that he has not been able to do in a long time! I will miss his bright smile and his loving touch! I will ALWAYS love him and forever miss him! Until we meet again DADDY! I LOVE YOU!
All i can hear over and over again in my head is your greeting to me of "Hey Huuunny" as i walked by your office in the shop all those years. I can also hear you say "I heard that" and "You got that right" - permanent fixtures in your vocabulary and some of my favorite things to hear you say. My boys have many great stories and memories with you front and center. My dad has nearly 40 years of stories - really, really great stories about you. It seems like dad introduces a new Wolfman story (one that i have never heard - and i have heard many) into the mix constantly since you took your leave from this world. So much so that i am thinking i should have him write a book about the 2 of you...It would be a best seller for sure. I love you Wolfman. My entire family loves you. And my dad - well you two had a love for each other that couldn't have been deeper...but you know that already. I have never seen as many grown men be taken to their knees as there were when you left us for a better place. That tells a mighty big story about how special you were to so many of us. You will forever be missed.
I have very fond memories of Dub! Grew up my whole life watching him work in his garden in the back yard. He always wore undershirts like my Daddy, the tee tank kind. He would always cook food that we never heard off, and remembering how good it was. No telling how many times we climb that fence going between our houses! God bless all of you and try to remember all the good times, you are blessed to have had a wonderful Father, Husband and Grandpa. We are all so blessed and the service was just beautiful, a man of strong character is something to be admired. Even though we don't see each other I am glad that God made our paths cross!
My thoughts & prayers are with you and your family at this time of loss. May the memories of all the good times hold you strong.
Uncle Dub, I will always remember you with affection and humor. You were always making others laugh. That is a rare gift you gave us. I planted a tree in you honor today. We will see you again.
