William "Bill" Seal's Obituary
William “Bill” Seal passed away February 11, 2024, at the age of 83. Bill was born to Leslie and Ruby (Rutherford) Seal in Seagraves, Texas on July 14, 1940, and raised in the Buckner Orphanage, until his oldest sister, Floella “Candy” and her husband Rolland Cook, took in his younger sister Marybelle, older brother Wint and himself forming a tight family bond. Bill joined the Navy and served honorably for 20 years. Bill married Mary Gallegos and they had two daughters. Settling his family in North Shore, Houston, Tx, where he worked construction for a few years then went to work for Harris County as a maintenance man working his way up to supervising maintenance in the Juvenile Detention Center and eventually retiring from the county. In his time in Houston, he became a Mason, Scottish Rite, and Shriner, serving as Grand Master several terms for his Mason Lodge. When he became a Shriner, he volunteered some of his time to the Shriner Children’s Hospital. He was very proud of his accomplishments and those of his daughters who both chose to work in the medical field. He also had great pride in his grandchildren Justin Bellott, Nathan Bellott, Maria Bellott, Jordan Resch, and David Seal-Resch. He was also step-great grandfather to Devin Resch and Jordan Resch Jr. He joins his wife Mary, sister Marybelle and her husband Dalton Gressett, sister-in-law Margaret Seal, and his Nephew Troy Seal in heaven waiting for the rest of us to join him and giving out his joyous way of welcoming people with a wide smile, handshake and a hug. He leaves behind his daughters and their spouses Barbara and Timothy Bellott and Kelly and David Resch as well as his sister Floella and brother Wint. He leaves behind three nephews, a niece, and many other family and friends. The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering Saturday 9 March 2024 from 3-5 pm at San Jacinto Memorial Park & Funeral Home.
