William M. (Uncle Mickey) Cochran's Obituary
William McKinley Cochran, 96, of Baytown, passed away Saturday, Feb 8, 2014.
He was born to the late Elbert L. Cochran and Lottie M. Walker, Jan. 28, 1918, in Soddy, TN. A veteran of World War II and US Navy retiree of 20 years, he worked for Ashland Chemical Co for 23 years, and Coastal Ind. Water Authority for 6. A member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and resident at St. James House, he caringly gave of himself to serve others around him. He loved to work hard in the outdoors, but as his work here is done, he now prepares the way for those he leaves behind.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Grace F. Cochran, two brothers James E. Cochran of Dysart, IA and Howard Cochran of Daisy, TN, and two sisters Eula M. Housley of San Diego, CA and Marjorie L. Bottoms of Ridgecrest, CA. He is survived by many nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and a few great-great nieces and nephews, all who knew and loved him as Uncle Mickey.
