Mr. William Richard Davis' Obituary
William Richard Davis, 76, was born on March 22, 1941 in Laurel, Mississippi to parents Arthur Richard Davis and Helen Duke Davis and went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.
Richard was the eldest of three children. He attended Galena Park High School and went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston, beginning his career as a tax accountant. On May 23rd, 1964 Richard married his sweetheart Patricia Poole. Richard proudly served his country from August 14, 1961 to February 28, 1965 in the US Air Force. He attained the rank of Airman Basic and earned a Good Conduct Medal and Small Arms Expert Marksman ribbon. After 30 years in the workforce, Richard retired on December 31, 2003.
He will be remembered for being caring, funny, generous, and witty, he was not a shy man. The most important events in his life were his marriage and the birth of his children.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 8:00am to 9:30am at the San Jacinto Funeral Home Chapel in Houston, Texas with a funeral service to immediately follow at 9:30am. A graveside service will take place at Houston National Cemetery at 11:00am. Attendees for the interment service will arrive in Lane 1.
