Mr William H. Chambers' Obituary
William H. Chambers was born on January 31st, 1933 in Ralston, OK to Burl and Mary Chambers. He departed this life on Tuesday September 22nd, 2015 at United Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX.
William attended school in Pawnee, OK and it was there that he met the love of his life. William married Jo Ruth Sellers on June 26, 1953 at the age of nineteen. Together they had five children, William Hugh Chambers, Timothy Burl Chambers, Ronald Gayle Chambers, Tana Kay Chambers, and Terry Lyn Chambers. They moved from Pawnee, OK to Baytown, TX in 1957. They eventually moved to Deer Park, TX in 1961 and it was here he spent the rest of his days.
William was a loving husband, father, papaw, great-papaw, and friend. He was also a hardworking man his whole life. He started out as a truck driver and worked his way up to be a successful business man. He proudly opened Osage Transportation, Inc. in 1978.
William is preceded in death by his parents Burl and Mary Chambers, his brother, John Chambers, and his three sons, William Hugh Chambers, Timothy Burl Chambers, and Ronald Gayle Chambers.
William is survived by his wife Jo Ruth Chambers, his children, Tana Kaye Chambers and Terry Lyn Chambers, his sisters, Nadine Crabtree, Wanda Stiles and husband Jerry Stiles, brothers, Ray Chambers and wife Mary Chambers, Bob Chambers and wife Carol Chambers, grandchildren, Heide Taylor, Rylan Chambers, Brittney Barnett and husband Travis Barnett, Lindsey Chambers and Fiance Tyler Michalsky, and Hannah Chambers, and several great grandchildren.
The Chambers family would like to thank everyone for their various expressions of sympathy and condolences during this difficult time.
Funeral Services will be held on the grounds San Jacinto Memorial Park and Funeral Home Beginning with a visitation on Monday 09/28/2015 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and a Funeral Service on Tuesday 09/30/2015 at 10:00am, with burial following the service.
