Mr. Warner Wilmer Salter, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Warner Wilmer Salter, Jr. 78, passed from this life and went to his eternal with the Lord on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas with his loved ones by his side. He was born on December 24, 1934 in Atmore, Alabama to Warner, Sr. and Exi Lee Barlow Salter. Warner is preceded in death by his parents, son Warner Wilmer Salter, III and sisters Alice Marie (Paul) Parson and Wanda (Armando) Mares and a half-brother William Coursey, a son-in-law Billy Gamble and a great-grandchild Samantha Gamble. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth McBride Salter; his children Irawayne "Wayne" Salter, Juanita "Anita" (Alexander) Moreno, Eugene (Linda) Salter, Herbert "Doug" (Valerie) Salter and sisters Mary Louise (Lavon) Sheffield, Patricia (Richard) Belinoski, Loanna (Charles) Lyons and Evelyn (Tommy) Alford and a half-brother James (Kathy) Coursey, a half-sister Diane Woods and great-grandchildren Mikayla and Mackynzee. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, April 22, 20113 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at San Jacinto Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Galena Park Assembly of God with Pastor Glenda Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow in San Jacinto Memorial Park.
