Mrs. Wanda L. Lensing's Obituary
Wanda Lensing entered into this life on April 4, 1927 to Paul and Lois McCoy in Arkinda, Arkansas and entered into rest on June 20, 2015 in Highland, Texas.
Wanda worked at Woodland Acres School for 20+ years until she retired in 1989 from Galena Park I.S.D.
She loved chocolate, reading, crossword puzzles and listening to county music and dancing. Wanda was kind, private and simple person but she loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
In April of 2012 she moved in at The Highland House in Highlands, Texas, who became part of her family.
When she moved in she could not see any more to read, do her crossword puzzles and she was in a wheelchair, but that didn’t stop her! Her feet and that wheelchair went everywhere- up and down the halls and into her neighbor’s rooms. Her little nickname was "Wondering Wanda". The staff did have their hands full with her but they were so patience with her and cared for her.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Louis McCoy, brothers, Jack and George McCoy and her husbands, Roy Robberson and Ben Lensing.
She is survived by her children, son, William McCoy Robberson, daughters and son-in-laws, Cathy and Phillip Lyall and Sue and Gerald Brookhart; grandchildren, Tracy Lyall, Jennifer Kelly and Husband Josh, Drew Hammons and Fiancée Johanna Lima and Sarah Hammons; great-grandchildren Kira and Zane Randall, Blake, Bryce, Brett, Brogan, Mady and McKenzie Kelly.
In honor of Wanda’s wishes she will have a small private ceremony and remember Wanda for all the good memories and joy she brought to those she loved and loved her in return.
