Virginia Valerie Modisette's Obituary
Virginia Valerie Modisette, 86, Was Born on April 9, 1922, and entered into rest on Thursday December 25, 2008. What a joyous celebration in heaven on Jesus birthday when Valerie joined the angels to give praise to her Lord and Savior. She is preceded in death by her Parents Robert and Dora Harrison, Husband Marvin Modisette, and her Brothers Ovid and Morris Harrison. She is survived by her Children: Bennie (Bettie) Modisette, Faye Hawkins, Robert (Rita) Modisette, and Linda (David) Fraser. 10 Grandchildren, 21 Great grandchildren, 14 Great great-grandchildren, Brother Robert Wayne (Alice) Harrison, and her Sister Margie (J.B.) Parnell. Valerie was a proud member of the Eastern Stars for more than 49 years, and the Rebeccas. She was a full time grandmother, and served as a handcraft volunteer at M.D. Anderson Hospital for more than 10 years. She was elected Chairman of the Handcraft Board in 1991 - 1992 and volunteer of the year 1996 - 1997. She was a faithful Christian and member of John Ralston United Baptist Church from 1954, and served as a Sunday school Teacher for many years. Visitation will be on Monday December 29, 2008 from 4 - 8 PM at San Jacinto Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Tuesday December 30, 2008 at John Ralston United Baptist Church at 1:30PM. Interment will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
