Virginia Mae Bench, age 71, born on January 10, 1936, went to her mansion in heaven on March 23, 2007. she was preceded in death by her father, Odis Walker Sr., mother; Amanda Zander, step father; George Zander, brother; Odis Walker, Jr. and husband G.e. "Smokey" Bench. She is survived by her childre; Norman Bench and spouse Loralyn J. Davis of Sheldon, Texas, wanda Schexnayder of South Houston, Texas, Cecilia Wilson and her partner June Frost of Clear Lake City, Texas, sister Vivian Goolsby of Houston, Texas, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Virginia waitressed and cooked at several Houston area restarurants for many years. she also worked in food service at the Champion Paper Mill and the Goodyear rubber plant cafeterias. She will alwyas be remembered for her kind, gentle spirit.
