Thomas Oliver Price's Obituary
Thomas Price passed away at his home on Monday, August 19, 2013 about 4:00 a.m. He was born February 17, 1943 to Jesse Edgar Price and Etta Marie Babcock Price. In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by an infant sister Mary Jane Price, an infant grandson Timothy Wayne Graham, granddaughter Amanda Nicole Patterson and an infant great-grandson Bombay Cox. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Peggy Mae Isaacs Price , one son Thomas Jr, and four daughters Billie, Rebecca, Cindy and Iva and husband Tracy, sixteen grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Pam and husband Larry, and three nephews Jeremy, Jeffrey and Brock along with other numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Known by his family and friends as Tommy or T.O. and by his great-grandchildren as "Ole Pap". Tommy was a loving husband, a good father and brother. He served in the United States Navy and was very proud of his service on the USS Randolph (CVS-15).
He was a hard worker and a man of many talents, making his living as a truck driver, cab driver and owning his own dump truck service and an all around fix it man at home. In the 70's he also built his own motorcycle from the ground up. He valued hard work and common sense. He was a Civil War enthusiast and proud descendant of General Sterling Price as well as enjoying old western reenactments.
Tommy left this life like he lived it...getting an early start. Those who knew him know that he hated wasting the day away and if something was to be done, then the earlier the better.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, children, family and friends.
