Teddy C. Purdy's Obituary
Rev. Teddy Carroll Purdy "Faithful". That is the first word that comes to mind when thinking of this gentle man of God. Those who would enter his home spoke of the peace they felt. The conversations, no matter where they started, would ultimately end talking about the goodness of God and His glory and majesty. Early Saturday morning, the Lord Jesus decided these conversations needed to be face to face. One minute Rev. Purdy was here with loved ones and friends. The next minute, he was standing before the Throne of Grace, talking to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Faithful to his wife of forty seven years, faithful to his friends, faithful to his Savior. This is the epithet that should be on his gravestone. Teddy and his wife Suzanne co-pastored a UPCI church in Casper, Wyoming and pastored the UPCI church in Mont Belvieu, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Purdy, son Paul Purdy, daughter in law Pam Purdy, daughter Jeanine Schrimpf, son in law Philip Schrimpf, grandson Trey Purdy, granddaughter Kayla Schrimpf and too numerous to mention here all of the aunts, uncles, cousins and the many friends of the Purdy family.
