Sue Ann "Susie" Yandell's Obituary
Sue Ann “Susie” Yandell passed away on February 17, 2022. She was born April 13, 1949, in Baytown, Texas, as the fourth of five children to Woody and Merle Yandell of Highlands, Texas. In 1967, she graduated from Lee High School in Baytown and lived all around her beloved home state in Dallas, Houston, Friendswood, Austin, and The Woodlands.
Susie’s upbeat character was evident in whatever she did, but she was happiest spending time with her sons, playing with granddaughters, or just enjoying time with her dogs and cats over the years. She had a love for Texas history that eventually led her to a career with the State Preservation Board in Austin where she made more lifelong friends doing what she loved.
She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Matthew and Autumn Brown of Friendswood, Nathaniel and Nina Brown of Kingwood and granddaughters Stephanie, Rebecca, Catherine, and Emily as well as her brothers Ronald and James Yandell. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Glenda Thomas and Jana Hooks.
A funeral service will be held at San Jacinto Memorial Park on February 24, 2022 at 10:00am
