Sue married Elmer Dean Dunn, Sr. on September 26, 1954 in Inka, Mississippi. They had two children Jane-Ann and Elmer Dean and lovingly cared for nephew Clarence Dunn Jr., and niece Crystal Dunn.
Sue spent her life serving others. Being the oldest sister of eleven siblings, she naturally took the role of caring for her brothers and sisters. After marrying "Dinky" at the young age of 20, she left Tennessee and and traveled around the states with him as he strung pipeline with Dunn Brothers Inc. Sue put her travel days behind her once their children began school. Sue served children with the Channelview Independent School District for 27 years. Upon retiring, she involved herself with the Community Center where she prepared meals for Meals on Wheels, fruit baskets for homebound seniors, and Christmas shoebox treasures for veterans. Sue earned Woman of the Year for all her years of service in September 28, 2011. Sue's greatest joy came with the title "Nana". Oh, how she loved her granddaughters and grandson. Sue loved and served her Lord daily. She loved being with her church family and serving them in any way she could. With every breath, Sue lived her live as a Godly Christian woman and an example to all.
