Steven Ray Holley's Obituary
Steven Ray Holley passed away on December 8th after a long battle with cancer peacefully at home in Houston Texas. Steven was born on September 12, 1956 in Winton California to Donald and Eva Holley. Six months of his life was spent in California, then his family moved to the greater Houston area where he resided for the remainder of his life.
Steven was a machine operator for construction equipment all his adult life. He built many roads around town and always loved sharing information about what workers were doing when driving by. Late in life he worked for one of his closest friends at a rock yard in Channelview Texas.
His life was filled with adventure, especially through his many fishing trips. He was well known for his unique collections of all things that sparked his curiosity. He loved the job that he did and could tell you anything about construction.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren and thoroughly enjoyed our yearly summer beach trips.
Steven was survived by his three sisters Julie Joe, Sharon Price Holley, and Tater Darlene Holley, Daughter Casey Guerra and husband John, Daughter Megan White and husband Blake, Daughter MaKayla Holley and fiancé Justin Swindle. Steven was a proud "Pa" to his grandkids - Madelynn, Hadley, Brooke and Parker. He loved every moment with them, whether it was telling stories, playing instruments, teaching them about his construction equipment or playing music for them.
He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Eva Holley and sister Donna Martin.
Steven was loved dearly and will be deeply missed by all.
