Sherry Rae Harris' Obituary
Sherry Rae Harris, 78, of Pasadena, Texas, went to be with our Lord and Savior on November 30, 2019. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on October 10, 1941, and is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Roger and Sue Harris of Pasadena, TX, Rodney and Tammy Harris of Katy, TX, and Ryan and Priscilla Harris of Deer Park, TX; brother and sister-in-law Butch and Shirley Carpenter of Brookeland, TX, 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sherry is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Kelly Jennings Harris; parents, Paul and Hazel Carpenter; granddaughters, Skylee Harris and Chastity Whitehead; sister, Connie Guilliams; and brother, Neal Carpenter.
Sherry was a loving mother, mother-in-law and MawMaw to her 3 sons and their spouses, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved her family very much and everyone who knew her always talked about how kind and giving she was. She loved to travel, fish, pull slots, sing, and especially loved the outdoors. Even when her memory failed her, she had the old hymns and country songs she loved to sing tucked back somewhere in her memory bank. How blessed we were that she knew her family to the very end and we were able to laugh with her at things she didn’t remember.
Services will be held at San Jacinto Funeral Home, 14659 I-10 East Freeway, Houston, TX 77015.
