Sharon A. Wilkerson's Obituary
Sharon A. Wilkerson, 70, was born on June 11, 1947 in Houston, TX to parents William Halbert Ingram and Catherine Josephine Ingram and went home to be with her Lord on Monday, December 4, 2017.
Sharon was a resident of the Baytown and Channelview area, and was the second of three children. The most important events in her life were her salvation, and the births of her children and grandchildren.
Sharon was a proud member of Calvary Temple Church in Baytown, TX for many years, serving as a Sunday school teacher for awhile and was very active in the church phone ministry. She would volunteer wherever needed. In her spare time Sharon enjoyed reading her bible, watching the Hallmark channel, listening to gospel music, and spending time with her family. Sharon will be remembered for being joyful, gentle, loving, faithful, sincere, and a gracious woman.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, William Halbert Ingram and Catherine Josephine Ingram; brother, William “Mickey” Ingram; and nephew, Wes Sharp. She is survived by her son, Kenny Wilkerson and wife Cindy; daughter, Shannon Harris and husband Wes; grandsons, Cody Wilkerson, Cory Wilkerson, and Clayton Carter; granddaughters, Ashley Wilkerson, Brittani Harris, and Addison Carter; sister, Sandra Johnson and husband Tommy; nieces, Kim Harder and Jennifer Foster; nephew, Keith Sharp; great-niece, Catherine Harder; special friends, Wanda Jones, Patsy Melching, Joni Traylor, Tammie Dubose, and Karen McKnight; and numerous other grand-nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:00am at San Jacinto Funeral Home, with a Celebration of her Life to follow at 11:00am. A graveside service will follow on grounds at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
