Sharon Ann Solis' Obituary
Sharon Ann Solis was born in Houston, Texas on July 6, 1944, to Irby and Evelyn Dupree. She passed away on November 6, 2021 at the age of 77. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, her parents, her brother, Cecil, and grandson, Carlos.
Sharon is survived by her children, son, Craig Tatom and wife, Jennifer, son, Carlos Solis III and wife, Dianne, and daughter, Cynthia Solis; ten grandchildren, Wesley Tatom, Chelsea Tatom, Erica Tatom, Jake Tatom, Jessica Calderon, Laila Hosseini, Elizabeth Hosseini, Eric Solis, Scott Solis, and Anthony Scales; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sharon grew up in Jacinto City and graduated from Galena Park High School in 1962. She was married to Ernest Solis for 31 years before his death in December of 2019. They spent the majority of their married life living in La Marque, Texas, where they were active in Queen of Peace Catholic Church. They were also active with the local Knights of Columbus chapter.
Sharon worked for many years as a secretary in the oil and gas industry. Upon retirement, she dedicated her time to her family and friends and enjoyed time spent reading, participating in barbecue cook-offs, and spending time with her many grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Atria Kingwood who treated Sharon with the utmost care and respect and provided her with a wonderful place to call home during her last year of life.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at San Jacinto Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin with a rosary recited at 12:30 pm and service beginning at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 12, 2021 at San Jacinto Funeral Home. An interment is to follow at the cemetary.
