My Papa, Sam Orgeron, was a wonderful grandpa. I admire him most for his sense of humor and his work ethic. I will think of him every day as a drive along the roads of Houston, many of which he helped build and for the freedom that we enjoy that he helped preserve. Papa always reminded me that the sign of a truly intelligent person was someone who could talk with anyone and show them respect from the construction yard to the boardroom. He certainly did that, and I will always try to follow his example. We had many great times together - on the CB, at Disney World, just talking, and especially in their motor homes. I will always cherish the week when he and Mama took me to North Carolina in the motor home to visit Duke University in high school. Those Smoky Mountains were tough on his legs but he did it for me! It makes me happy to think of Papa and Mama dancing together now and having fun! The love that they shared and their 50 years of marriage were a great example for all of us. We love you and miss you, Papa!
