Ruth Ann Miller's Obituary
Ruth Ann Miller, was born on August 7, 1956 in Crockett, Texas and passed away on March 31, 2017 in Houston, Texas. Ruth was the first child out of 4 and lived in Crockett, Texas until the age of 16.
After graduating high school, Ruth was a caregiver, manager and a waitress. On June 2nd, she married Michael Miller in Bryan, Texas. Ruth retired in 2007, so she could stay home and take care of her loving husband until his passing. She was a member of The Cowboy Church in Cleveland, Texas.
Ruth loved gardening, taking a cruise on Carnival Cruise Lines, history, helping others, crocheting, sudoko and playing Skipbo with her grandchildren. She was a strong, caring, independent woman but also stubborn and determined. She would not let anything get in her way.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 29 years, Michael Lee Miller; son: David Wayne Pablo; brother: Joe Stowe; mother’s: Margie Ruth Stowe and Earline Cole. She is survived by her loving children: Paula Valdez and husband Martin of Houston, Texas and Rachel Rutledge of Spring, Texas; grandchildren: Amber Phay, Emma Lauren, Willie, Silas Valdez, KynLee Valdez and Brantley Valdez; siblings: Cathy McMullen and husband Rick of Pasadena, Texas, Brett Stowe of Pasadena, Texas and Joann Stowe of New Caney, Texas; nieces: Christina, Catrina, Julietta and Janice; son-in-law: Mario Rodriguez of Houston, Texas and her close friends Georgia and Larry Burger of Grapeland, Texas.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life Service to be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:00 am, in the Chapel at San Jacinto Funeral Home. Ruth will be laid to rest at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville, Texas.
