Ms. Ruth Virginia Looney's Obituary
Ruth was born August 19, 1917. Died November 29, 2013. She was adopted by Simon David Doyle, and Martha Jane Hill Doyle, and raised in a Christian manner. Ruth was born in Oklahoma but moved to Texas as soon as she could. Soon after arriving in Texas Ruth met an oil field roustabout named Frank Enoch Looney. They fell in love and were married on January 14, 1937. The first of 4 sons Frank Looney Jr. was born, followed by Ronald, Daniel, and Donald. Together with Frank, Ruth assisted in building 17 churches, and was the pastors of 34 churches of the Assembly of God denomination. An advanced musician, Ruth played the piano and sang at all manner of events. As happens when life is extended, many of Ruth's friends and family passed before her. However, one friend, Nana Maude Jenkins of California never failed to contact her. They were friends for 93 years. A loving testament to loyalty and friendship.
Ruth's life consisted of living small, loving big, laughing hard, and faith that a better time was coming. That time has finally come. Her music has been silenced... but Ruth left a never ending song in our hearts. http://youtu.be/f3us1IAp3lg
