My Tío had the kindest heart and was always the warmest greeter. Every time I saw him, he had such a soothing voice that could make you smile and feel instantly welcome. I’ll always picture him in his 18-wheeler, working hard and driving heavy machinery a true worker through and through.
I know life has taken us in different directions, but I wanted to reach out and say that I still consider you family. I remember when you gave Rafael jr the nickname "Zapata" and until your last days you stuck to that name. I will always remember the jokes , the bs you carried in your conversations. Although I didn’t get to spend a lot of time with him, the times I saw him he always made me feel welcome. I remember him as a hardworking man who loved his family wholeheartedly. I loved hearing all the beautiful stories throughout the years of what an amazing father/grandfather he was.
