Ruben DeLeon, 65, of Houston, Texas, passed away on March 28, 2026, in Houston. He was born on March 28, 1961, to Consuelo and Raul DeLeon in Brownfield, Texas.
On July 1, 1982, Ruben married the love of his life, Susanne Silverstein, in Houston, beginning a partnership filled with devotion, joy, and countless cherished memories.
Ruben built a long and respected career in the gasket industry, dedicating over 30 years to the field. For the past five years, he served as an Operations Manager at Durlon, where he was admired for his strong work ethic, leadership, and dedication.
Beyond his professional life, Ruben was happiest outdoors or surrounded by the people he loved. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sharing time with his family and friends. His humor, warmth, and generosity made him a joy to be around, and he touched the lives of all who knew him.
Ruben is survived by his beloved wife, Susanne DeLeon; his daughters Tiffany DeLeon and her partner Cesar, Christa Silva and her husband Noe, Savanna DeLeon and her partner Jonathan; his son Matthew DeLeon and his wife Gizele; his sister Julie DeLeon; his mother Consuelo Soliz; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in passing by his father, Raul DeLeon, and his brother, Roy DeLeon.
Ruben will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to share in his life. His legacy of love, strength, and kindness will endure in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
