Robert Joseph Burns, age 90, of Channelview, Texas, passed away on June 25, 2025, in Silsbee, Texas.
Born on March 5, 1935, in Houston, Texas, to Joseph "Dan" Burns and Alice Burns, Robert lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and service to others. He proudly served in the United States Army from June 24, 1954, to June 3, 1957, achieving the rank of Specialist 3rd Class.
For nearly three decades, Robert worked as a dedicated pipefitter, earning the respect of his peers through his skill and reliability. Outside of work, he found joy in fishing, working with his hands, playing dominoes, and lending a helping hand to his local church community.
Robert is survived by his loving daughter, Bobbie Jo Caldwell, and his two beloved grandchildren, Colton Caldwell and Drew Burns.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Gerald Burns; his sister, Marlene Bailes; and his son, David Burns.
Robert will be remembered for his quiet strength, his deep-rooted faith, and the gentle presence he brought into the lives of those who knew him.
