Mrs. Robbie Bennett Hardy's Obituary
Robbie Mae Bennett Hardy, 79, long-time resident of Houston, joined her Heavenly Father on Christmas morning, December 25, 2017.
Robbie was born on May 16, 1938 in Iola, Texas to Girvin and Jessie Bennett. In 1956, Robbie graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and married Glenn Hardy. While raising two children, she began a lifelong career in the steel and transportation industry. Even though her coworkers and colleagues knew her for her strong work ethic and boundless energy, the vast part of her energy was reserved for her family which held the biggest part of her heart.
She is survived in death by her children; Susan Hardy Hanna and Michael E. Hardy, Sr.; Sister, Nellie Carruth; Grandchildren, Robbie Whitehead Schubert and husband Sammy, John Whitehead, Levi Whitehead and wife Tara Whitehead, Michael E. Hardy Jr and wife Sabrina, Glenn Hardy, Cassandra Hardy, Courtney Hardy, John Hardy, and Caitlyn Hardy; along with numerous great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; cousins; and special family, Sandra Weaver and Darrell Hobbs.
Robbie was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Hardy; her parents, Girvin and Jessie Bennett; and brothers, James Bennett and John Bennett.
A Visitation will be held on Monday January 8, 2018 from 5pm to 8pm at San Jacinto Funeral Home. Services will be January 9, 2018 at 10am at San Jacinto Funeral Home. Interment will be at San Jacinto Memorial Park
