Rita Yvonne Zamora, 50, of Houston, Texas, passed away on March 19, 2026, in Houston. She was born on September 11, 1975, in San Antonio, Texas, to Juan Jaime Treviño and Maria Rita Plata.
Rita married the love of her life, Mauricio Zamora, on November 5, 1999, in Houston. She dedicated 26 years of service to the City of Houston, where she worked as a Human Resources Manager. Rita was known for her strong work ethic, her compassion for others, and the positive impact she made on her colleagues and community.
Outside of her career, Rita found joy in traveling and cherished every moment spent with her family and friends. Her warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Rita is survived by her sons, Ricardo Lopez and Emilio Zamora; her sisters, Anita Treviño and Cecilia Treviño; her parents, Maria Rita Plata and Juan Jaime Treviño; and her beloved grandchild, Richard Solis‑Lopez.
She rests with her husband, Mauricio Zamora.
Rita will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved her.
