Richard Thomas Brumfield passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 71 in Houston, Texas. He was born on May 7, 1952, to Rodney and Mara Brumfield in Houston, Texas.
Richard married Jackie Bassett on March 31, 1972. He enjoyed racing, plants, riding Honda motorcycles, and spending time with family and friends. He was a man of many talents tried new things and wasn’t afraid of a crowd. He loved to tell stories just like his father and could captivate an audience. He stood by his principles to a fault and would give his last dime to help his family and friends. He made the party with his personality and looked forward to holidays or get togethers where he shone bright. He was an amazing character and will be greatly missed by everyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney Earl Brumfield and Mara Frances Brumfield, and his sister Diana Nielson.
Richard is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jackie Brumfield of Houston, Texas; his children, Heather Anderson (William) of Alvin, Texas, Christina Brumfield of Pasadena, Texas, Richard Brumfield Jr. (Julie) of Baytown, Texas; brother, Jay Brumfield of Willis, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Christy Brumfield, Megan Jaramillo, Angelica Iturralde, Christina Iturralde, Amber Smith, William Anderson, Chris Damin and Marky Damin; and 4 great grandchildren.
