Rhonda Kay Vander Wiele's Obituary
Rhonda Kay Vander Wiele, age 62, of Porter, Texas, passed away surrounded by her loving family on May 9, 2024. She was born on January 10, 1962, to James Wesley Bryant and Darlene Mae Curtis Bryant in Jacinto City, Texas.
Rhonda was a devoted member of Munn Street Baptist Church for many years. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she found solace and community within the church.
As a mother, Rhonda was unparalleled. She not only cared for her own children but also embraced their friends as her own. Her love extended beyond her immediate family, especially to her cherished grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart.
Rhonda embodied tenacity, honesty, and class. Her impeccable sense of style was evident in her attire—she always dressed to impress. Her loyalty knew no bounds, especially to her late husband, George H. Vander Wiele, whom she considered the love of her life.
Her warm and inviting nature endeared her to everyone she met. Rhonda’s hospitality was legendary, and she welcomed others with open arms. Her maternal instincts were strong, and she cared deeply for those around her.
Despite her generosity, Rhonda remained humble. She quietly performed countless acts of charity within her community, never seeking recognition for her good deeds. Her culinary skills were equally remarkable; everything she prepared not only looked exquisite but also tasted divine.
Rhonda is survived by her loving children: Cassandra “Cassie” Bowie, Cristin “Crissie” Vander Wiele, and George “Wes” Wesley Vander Wiele. Her siblings, Debbie Barrett, and Jim Bryant, share in the grief of her passing. Rhonda’s legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Luke, Alexa, Victoria, Jocelyn, Noah, Jordyn, Zoe, Madelyn, Amelia, Liam, Annabelle, Levi, and Sawyer.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, George H. Vander Wiele, and her parents, James Bryant, and Darlene Bryant.
Rhonda Kay Vander Wiele will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
