Mr. Rene Rodriguez's Obituary
Rene Rodriguez, 83, of Magnolia, TX was born in San Isidro, Texas on July 4, 1934 to parents Jose Rodriguez and Gertrudis Saenz Rodriguez and passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018.
He was 5th of 8 children, and moved to Houston, Texas at the age of 17. Rene was married to Grace Bonnett, on April 26, 1957. In just a few short weeks they would have celebrated their 61st anniversary.
Rene worked for 55 year in the oil field industry, until his retirement in 2001. Rene was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to him. Whenever they were around he was truly happy.
His favorite hobbies were watching old western movies, playing dominoes and card games with the grandchildren and finally, watching Telemundo.
Rene is preceded in death by his grandson, Ryan Rene Rodriguez; sister, Dora Lisa Rodriguez; brothers, Jesus Rodriguez and Humberto Rodriguez (Beto).
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Grace N. Rodriguez; sons, Roger Rene Rodriguez and wife Dorothy Rodriguez, Randy Frank Rodriguez and wife Elizabeth Rodriguez; daughter, Tammy Joyce Bazan and husband Rick Bazan; grandchildren, Ricky Rene Rodriguez and wife Wendi Rodriguez, Joseph Anthony Kelly, Amber Lynn Allen, Hunter Bazan; step-grandson, Tripp Jones; great-grandchildren, Ean Rene Rodriguez, Madison Elizabeth Rodriguez, Peyton Ryan Rodriguez, Madilynn Grace Knotts; brother, Aparicio Rodriguez and wife Floria Rodriguez; sisters, Maria Rodriguez, Doralisa Garza, Irma Salazar and husband Israel Salazar; sister-in-law, Mary Louise Rodriquez; as well as numerous nieces, and nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday March 29, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at San Sacinto Funeral Home in Houston, TX. A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 1:00pm at San Jacinto Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers are Ricky Rodriguez, Ricky Bazan, Anthony Kelly, Hunter Bazan, Peyton Rodriguez, Ean Rodriguez, and Tripp Jones.
