Mr. Reece Mell Wilson's Obituary
Reece Mell Wilson, 92, passed away on July 2, 2008 in Houston. Mr. Wilson was born September 27, 1915 in the Creath community of Houston County, Texas to Lee and Ruth Driskill Wilson. During WW II he served in the Merchant Marine. Reece obatined his Master of Education and in 1957 joined the Channelview Independent School District where he served in various capacities until his retirement. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife Marjory in 2004 and his son Wayne in 1991. He is survived by his daughter Mellanie Wilson and David Jones; grandchildren Shawna Kennedy and husband Jason,Laura McFalls, and Dorian Borowski; great-grandchildren Shawn and Anna Grace Knudsen and Addison Kennedy; and his daughter-in-law Sheila Borowski and Hank Weigartz. Funeral services are to be on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Old River Terrace United Methodist Church in Channelview,TX with Rev Steve Woody officiating. Interment will be on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 2PM in the Cedar Point Cemetery in Creath community with Rev. Jim Tom Ainsworth officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Don Calloway, Don Wilks, Ray Burke, Marlen Holbrooks, Bill Anders, and David Strong.
