Raymon Lee Welborn Jr., 68, of Galveston, Texas, passed away on March 4, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on April 30, 1956, to Raymon and Elsie Welborn in Pasadena, Texas, Raymon lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication.
On April 2, 1976, Raymon married his soulmate, Teresa Fade, in Houston, Texas. Their love story spanned nearly five decades, a testament to their unwavering bond and shared dreams. Raymon worked as an operator for Shell Oil in Deer Park, Texas, for 36 years, where his commitment and hard work were admired by all who knew him.
Raymon had a deep passion for music, often finding solace and joy in its melodies. He was an avid reader, always eager to explore new worlds through the pages of a book. His love for sports, especially football, was well-known, and he never missed an opportunity to cheer for his favorite teams.
Each morning, Raymon cherished the simple pleasure of sipping his coffee while watching the birds from his back porch. This daily ritual was a moment of peace and reflection, a time to connect with nature and appreciate life's beauty. Above all, Raymon treasured the moments spent with his family, creating memories that will be forever etched in their hearts.
Raymon is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa Welborn of Galveston, Texas; his daughter, Sarah Welborn Bay, and her husband, Ryan, of Fredericksburg, Texas; his sons, Lee Welborn and his wife, Keri, of Pasadena, Texas, and Ashley Welborn and his wife, Cynthia, of League City, Texas; his sisters, Terri Whittaker and her husband, Craig, of Weatherford, Texas, and Kimberli Welborn of Huffman, Texas. He is further survived by his five cherished grandchildren: Lily Delperdang, Logan Delperdang, Piper Welborn, Harper Welborn, and Arthur Bay.
Raymon was preceded in passing by his parents, Raymon Welborn and Elsie Welborn. Raymon's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
