Mr. Rafael H. Rodriguez, Sr's Obituary
Mr. Rafael “Ralph” H. Rodriguez, Sr., was born on January 28, 1944 to the late Alberto and Octavia Rodriguez in Mission, Texas and passed away on September 17, 2015 in Houston, Texas. He attended and graduated Mission High School. After graduation, he began his career as a retail store manager.
Ralph has lived many places in his life including Mission, Freeport, Bay City and Houston, Texas. He married the love of his life, Irma Bayardo on February 14, 1965 at St. Anthony’s Church in Robstown, Texas.
Ralph was involved in the Lyons Club in Bay City, Texas. His cherished moments in life were the births of his children, attending weddings and his children’s religious accomplishments. His most important events in his life were his wedding and his 50th wedding anniversary to his lovely wife Irma.
Ralph would always be seen working in his yard or cooking up a meal for his family. He loved listening to classic country music, conjunto and Christmas classics. Ralph could be described as loving, generous, kind, a hard worked, humorous and god loving.
Ralph is pre-deceased by his parents Alberto and Octavia Rodriguez and sisters: Rosalba Marroquin, Oralia Cardoza and Gloria Mendoza. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Irma Rodriguez; children: Ralph Rodriguez, Jr., Cyndy Esquivel and Blanche Brown; brother: Manuel Rodriguez; sisters: Mary Pena, Belia Cano and Ernestine Barraza: grandchildren: Emily Craven, Brianna Carrizales, Monica Esquivel and Javier Esquivel, Jr.; great-grandchildren: Brennan Matthew Hill, Connor Alanson Hill, Joshua Taylor Craven and Arianna Carrizales; as well as numerous family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm in the Chapel at San Jacinto Funeral Home, 14659 East Freeway, Houston, Texas 77015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 7250 Harrisburg Blvd., Houston, Texas 77011, with interment to follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
