Pauline Nixon Brasher's Obituary
Pauline Nixon Brasher, 88, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019 in Houston, Texas. She was born on Wednesday, February 11, 1931 in Houston, Texas.
Pauline was the youngest of three children and the only daughter born to Cage Polk Nixon and Kirby Mae Dees Nixon. She attended Robert E. Lee High School and later attended technical school where she studied business administration. Pauline married the love of her life, Pete Brasher.
She was a parishioner of Dell Dale Baptist Church. She was involved in Flukinger Community Center. Her special pets are her dogs, Molly, Charlie, and Jack, who gets an honorable mention. Pauline was an unselfish, sweet spirit, who was so loving and kind. She loved gardening and classic gospel music.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Pete Brasher; daughter, Anne Mettlach; parents; and her brothers, Cage Polk Nixon, Jr., and James Murphy.
Pauline is survived by her son, David Brasher and his wife Tina; grandsons, Chris Brasher, Nathan Mettlach, Gabriel Mettlach, Michael Mettlach; four sister-in-laws; one brother-in-law; and two nieces and many other loving relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at San Jacinto Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00pm. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at San Jacinto Funeral Home with interment to follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park at 14659 East Freeway, Houston, Texas 77015.
