Mrs. Paula McWilliams' Obituary
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother (mimi), aunt, sister, and friend Paula Sue McWilliams was called home by the Lord on Saturday, October 3, 2015, in Houston Texas.
Paula Holley McWilliams, 54, was born on March 28, 1961 to the late Seth and Madelene Coats, 4th in a family of five children. She grew up in Houston, Texas, where she resided with her eternal love, Joe McWilliams and raised her children, Amy, Joey, and Carl Jr.
Paula is survived by her husband Joe McWilliams; daughter Amy M. Turek and husband Jason; step son Joey McWilliams and wife Kristin; son Carl Holley Jr and husband Damian, 10 grandchildren; siblings Jimmy Coats, Martha Zills and husband Mike, Johnny Coats; and nephew James Wilson and wife Amy, niece Keisha Duggan and husband Brandon, and many other nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, father Seth Coats, mother Madelene Hart, step father Donald Hart and sister, Diana Coats.
Paula lived a life dedicated to her family and friends. After becoming a young mother, Paula spent her life ensuring that her family was loved and protected. After her sister’s untimely passing, she spoke of and loved her sister’s adult children as her own. As she always said “even if we don’t have the best, we always have each other”. There was nothing that Paula did or felt half way. If Paula counted you as a friend, there was nothing that she wouldn’t do to help you in your time of need. If you asked for her opinion (or sometimes if you didn’t), you should be prepared for the full truth. It was this honesty that endeared her to so many throughout her life.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Chapel of San Jacinto Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of San Jacinto Funeral Home, with interment to follow in San Jacinto Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
