Mrs. Paula Jane Martin's Obituary
Paula Jane Martin, 77, was born on October 13, 1939 to the late Ethol and Una Cleveland in Iola, Texas and passed away on August 25, 2017 in Houston, Texas. She attended Jacinto City Elementary, Galena Park Jr High and Galena Park High School. After graduation, she worked for Prudential Insurance but became a lifelong homemaker after the birth of her first child.
Paula married the love of her life David on May 4, 1960 in Houston, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Galena Park. She enjoyed gardening, cooking/baking and taught Sunday School at her church for many years.
Paula is survived by her loving husband, David; children: Pam Bratcher (Ray), Karen Thomas (Brian), Steven Martin and Patricia Martin; grandchildren: Kelly Cupstid, Austin Bratcher (Kelsey) and Audrey Bratcher; brother: Jack Cleveland (Glenda); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Ethol and Una (Stuckey) Cleveland; brothers Jerry Dan Cleveland and Bobby Cleveland and sisters: Faye Stokes and Betty Tindol.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, with the funeral service at 11:00 am in the Chapel at San Jacinto Funeral Home. Paula will be laid to rest immediately following the service at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
