Mr. Paul Stephen Tompkins' Obituary
Paul Stephen Tompkins, 67, was born on November 18, 1947 in Waxahachie, Texas to Frank Dean Tompkins Jr. and Dorothy Faye (Gardner) Tompkins. He was the second of three children.
Paul served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He received a National Defense Medal and Sharpshooter’s Badge, while in the United States Army he begin a career as Army mechanic and following that, a career as a diesel electrician for 34 years.
After retiring in 2013 Paul enjoyed his family, watching his western movies and reading the Bible. He was a Christian man who loved God and loved to talk about him. Paul was a warm-hearted and generous man whom will be missed and remembered by those who loved him and those he loved.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Deena Roberts, son, Jonpaul Tompkins and daughter, Samantha Cordova; grandchildren, Chloe Roberts, Ariana Lopez, Taryn Poole, Jaiden Belmont and Gabriel Tompkins, brother, Samuel Tompkins, sister, Judy Carroll and nephew, Jason Carroll.
A memorial service will be held on September 14, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of San Jacinto Funeral Home with an inurnment following in Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors rendered.
